How about a phone call from an Active Rain member with a referral?

Yes, that's exactly right. 

This morning I received a phone call.  A woman mentioned her name and company and proceeded to tell me she had a referral for me if I was interested.  We talked for a while.  During that time she mentioned that she had received the referral through Active Rain and knew of me because of Active Rain.  At the end of the conversation I asked for her name.  (I often don't catch it when it is the first thing someone tells me.)  With that she repeated her name...Lenn Harley.

That's right, I said Lenn Harley.  Time for a confession...I must have sounded like a teenage groupie.  Lenn Harley!  Oh my gosh.  I literally gushed.

Without a doubt I was much more excited to be talking to Lenn Harley than I was about getting a referral and I mean that.  Lenn has a reputation for giving her best and I believe she looks for competent, qualified agents to work with her referrals.  Her call made me feel good.   Who couldn't use that?

One of these days you may receive a call from Lenn if you have not already.  One more reason to keep on posting (shame on me...I have been very negligent lately) on the one and only real estate blog for real estate professionals, Active Rain.

Footnote:  We have an appointment for this Saturday to look at houses.  Will keep you posted.
