We need to remember this when we are down.  No where else gives a person these opportunities.

Great photo!  I wanted to go there when we visited Long Island, but we didn't know you had to book it in advance.

Sincerely,

Kathleen

Such inspiration!  We had dinner the other night with clients from Africa - and they spoke about the greatness of the United States and how excited they were with the opportunities here.  It make us proud to be Americans and it served as a reminder of all that we have.

It was definitely worth the 3 hours of standing in line to catch the ferry out to the island.  Seeing the statue in person will leave you awe struck, and it is a great reminder of the freedoms we have.

Kathleen, I hope you get another chance to go.  I don't believe you need to book in advance unless you are taking the tour up to the crown.  Also make sure you get to Ellis Island. So much history to take in.

I live in NJ (Lady liberty is actually in NJ) and I am ashamed to say I have never visited her.  Sailed by her a few times, always glance at her when crossing the Verazanno bridge... but never actually have been there.

I was blessed to have been able to see the Statue of Liberty from my home and school where I grew up in Brooklyn NY.

Jim,

If you grew up in Brooklyn, then I know you have been to Grimaldi's Pizzeria.  I loved the experience and excited to know that I will soon be able to eat at Grimaldi's in The Woodlands, TX, though I know the experience will not be the same.  Thanks for the comment and have a great week selling real estate in Atlanta.
