When you actually sit back and think about it real estate professionals in their respective sectors generally can provide the same resources as the next. For example Real Estate Agents either list home or bring in buyers, mortgage professionals have access to finance but pretty much the same loan programs, appraiser, title companies, inspectors, etc. are pretty much the same. Just think about it, there is nothing fantastic about the resources that we have access to or use to market ourselves. What sets each and every one of us apart is the system, the service and the passion behind what we do. How do you think that sounds to a client or a referral partner "We provide great service", "We have great rates", "We can sell homes fast" those should not set us a apart but should be in some type of state code that determines if we should have the license to provide the resources that we flaunt so much.
But to a client, who is not really amazed by this, what do we say? What would you say to to two sales people that approached you in a clothing store at two different times and states "If you need anything ask me I provide great service?"
Because we are the faces and attitudes of the companies and the families that we represent how do we bring out our greatness to the point that it strikes a productive emotion from our clients, referral partners and prospects. This is an emotional business, how do we tap into it with lame elevator pitches that have nothing to do with emotions.
Here is my challenge:
How would you describe yourself to a client, prospect or referral partner if you could not use what you do for a living, what you have or how you look in the description?
