It is so dry here in Nevada, those kind of roofs, wood shingle, are illegal ( maybe not illegal but impossible to get insured)! But in Hawaii...they look great on your car ports! Great job representing you local roofing company!

Wopo Hoo, Boy am I dense, I paid no attention to the roof ad and figured this must be a new listing. It wasn't until I read the first comment from Terri and it was like, Dah! What are you thinking. I suppose I wasn't thinking , which is the point. 95 degrees out, it is so hot here and it makes my brain function slow. OK, that probably isn't the problem with my brain, LMAO.

That's a fine looking roof if you ask me.

I love the roofs in Hawaii!  There are so many different roof styles and so many different materials. I really like homes that have the blue ceramic tile that pick up the beautiful blue of the Pacific.  **Sigh**  Now I have to come visit again!

Brian: Smart Alec :)

Marcy: I like this new rubber looking stuff (not sure what it is) but it's layered like a thick tile and so neat looking :)

JL: I do agree. When a few shingles came blowing off I complained and they had tarp up there for a couple months until they good get it fixed. They just reroofed our building as well. :)

William: I'm a Wopo Hoo now? lol. You better go stick your head in the freezer lol.

Terrie: I guess with the hot..wouldn't fires be easy to start? We have heat but tradewinds blow through :)

Sally, that was a cool way to promote your local roofing company!  It is so much easier for me to blog about a company if I've already used their services.  Congrats on the new roof!

We have Cedar Shakes here in the Great Pacific NW.  I WISH people would treat them. . . and make them look like yours!

Sally- Our entire neighborhood of 1000 homes was built back in the middle 80's and all the homes had Cedar shake roofs. Then in lates 1990's - it was outlawed in our town so that no more new homes could use the cedar shakes. We just changed ours to a composition shingle in 2002.
