Several of my ActiveRain friends contacted me this week about meeting during the Keller-Williams Mega Camp event.  Today, I had a chance to meet with Marie Westerman, and tomorrow I am meeting Ryan Shaughnessy for lunch.

If you are in town over the next few days, I would love to meet you!

You are welcome to join us for lunch tomorrow near downtown Austin at Chuy's on Barton Springs.  We are planning to meet at around 12:15 - 12:30pm.  Go ahead and call me on my cell phone if you think you would like to come, just to make sure we have adequate seating during the lunch crowd.  My cell is 512-796-7653.

Additionally, on Friday, Marie and I were hoping to get a few Rainers together for a late lunch before her flight, although the plans are not yet set in stone.  You can come with us if you want!

If you can't make it tomorrow OR Friday, but you are here, perhaps we could just grab a cup of coffee.  My treat.  :)

I hope to meet even more AR members soon!

Jason, one day they'll either hold the RE/MAX Convention in Austin, the Austin Texas Homes Real Estate Convention in D.C. (somehow I doubt that...) or I'll just make it out to Austin for a trip or vice versa.  Until then, there's Twitter, Facebook, e-mail, the phone, and of course, Active Rain.

Jason, I may have actually made that trip if I didnt just drive to California 3 weeks ago and then Hot Springs Arkansas last week. I'm still wanting to make a trip that direction before the year is over though.

Steve - Ryan and I had lunch with a couple of local Rainers - Steve Rosenbaum and Garreth Wilcock.  No other out-of-towners came to meet with us.  I do have a couple of pictures, and I'm sure that Ryan does, too!

Hey my friend Jason...

I know I owe you a phone call :-)...this weekend!  Funny you had posted this....here's my story:

As many of you know I've been out of the loop for awhile here in the rain...due to being chronically ill since Aug. 8, 2008 with a myriad of health problems, all big ones too!  Every time I thought I had won a batter, I got hit with some new weird thing out of the blue.

Bottom line now is I need a double lung + liver transplant to have a chance of living more that about a year and with any kind of quality off life.

I've spent the last 3 months going through the evaluation testing process to be listed for transplants that's another story :-)...just when I get that almost set up...BAMB KNOCK ME DOWN AND BEAT THE CRAP OUT OF ME...my insurance raised the rates so high we can't get it renewed!!

I don't have the $1.7 MILLION laying around to pay for it all + post transplant you have to be on lots of medications that cost $4-$5 THOUSLAND A MONTH FOR LIFE!!

REALTORS AND SELF EMPLAYED PEOPLE HAVE ALWAYS GOTEN THE SHORT END BY HAVING TO PAY BOTH ENDS OF ALL TAXES.

Any brainstorms...bight ideas...ar members could hold a money raising rally...

Keeping my spirits up and praying for a miracle all well!

Love you guys, I'm going to get back to AR to catch up on my friends.  Liz

Feeling more and more like that monkey every day

Jason - Thank you for your Austin hospitality.  Chuys was a great suggestion.  My business partner Michelle Silies and I had a great time and enjoyed meeting you as well as Activerainers Steve Rosenbaum and Garreth Wilcock.  We loved Austin and were glad that you could meet with us on short notice.  I will post some photos - Debe hit it on the head when she said little brother.  I don't know what they feed you guys in Texas - but I was at least 3 feet shorter than the rest of the giants at the table.

Jason - It is a great opportunity to meet up with some fellow Rainers !  Sounds like the opportunity was seized upon.  I would love to be in Austin at some point in the future, especially after reading and hearing so much about the area !  Just by reading Ryan's comment above, must have been great !
