Northstar Commuter Rail is Almost Here!

I was on my way to a showing appointment in Big Lake when I noticed the new train was sitting at the Big Lake station. It is a neat looking, big blue, yellow, and white double-decker train that looks like it has room for at least a several hundred people. I wish I had the time to stop and take a picture of it right then and there. Afterwards, I went by the Big Lake Station and unfortunately, it was gone by then. I've had lots of inquiries from prospective home buyers who are looking at homes for sale and rental real estate in areas along the rail line and they have lots of questions about our new commuter rail system. Having grown up in Chicago, I was used to trains being part of our public transit system so I am really excited for the Twin Cities to be getting a commuter rail system up and going.

For those of us who drive I-94 or US-10 it will be SO NICE to have this option. And for everyone who can't ride the train, don't dismay, for each person riding the train that means one less person on the highway!
