Shortly after Best Agent Business and its parent company came into being, Steve Kantor read a pile of books, including Millionaire Real Estate Agent.  He wondered how many agents had sold a billion dollars in their careers.  With his then-small staff, he tracked down hundreds of such agents, set up interviews with 70 top who shared their secrets of success, and produced the book Billion Dollar Agent - Lessons Learned.  Not surprisingly, any agents said that getting an assistant was key to getting ahead as this allowed them to prioritize their work and focus on what they do best.

The way the book came about, through the work of many part time virtual assistants, gave Steve the idea to offer editorial and book publication services. Best Agent Business  has done some interesting projects that also demonstrated how a team of part time people can effectively bring a book from an unedited manuscript to finished product in short order.

Another publishing venture was Why Are You Here - Right Now? (YRUHN), a book created in paperback and e-book form by "crowdsourcing."  YRUHRN is based on hundreds of people answering the question, "Why Are You Here - Right Now" via the Amazon service, Mechanical Turk.  A crowd of people dreamed, wrote, designed, edited, marketed, and published the book in 50 days.  One third of the profits from this book were donated to the children affected by Hurricane Katrina.
