For many parents the fact that the children are back in school is a real treat. For others, it is time to sing the blues. Some children are also excited about going back to class and being with old friends and getting back into the routine but others are like Huckleberry Finn and just want to keep on playing. Who needs school anyway?
No matter which side of the fence you are on, here are a few tips that just might alleviate some of the pain.
I have grown kids, but when they were tots, I LOVED the end of school and starting of summer vacation, and HATED the beginning of school in the fall...I didn't want summer to be over...no matter how busy were had been that summer, we still had a pile of adventures left on our to do list!
Thanks for the post. School started today here. My kids are in college now (1 freshman and a sophomore). As I drove thru the neighborhood and saw all the parents and kids waiting at the bus stops, I smiled and remembered it seemed like yesterday. I hope all the parents enjoy the time now reguardless of what time of the year it is..
Pat, Monique, when I see the buses picking up the little munchkins, it brings back some pretty pleasant memories though they were long long ago.
