I don't wanna do my homework....words that parents have not heard for a few months once again begin to permeate the halls of our homes in Kingwood Texas.  We can all remember the days when we said those very same words.  I suppose our children learned them from us!  No matter how you shake the dice, they still need to do it in order to "move to the next grade" and ultimately "move to another house."  (Admit it now, there are days we wish they already lived in another house)  I can still hear my mother utter the words, "Edward Bachman, if I have to come in there you will be sorry."

Here are a few helpful hints that may make the transition back into study mode a bit more enjoyable.

All good advice and some of these were actually handed down by my children's teachers. Now if I can get the motor mouth of the family to be quiet in class!

I agree with the comment above. It is good for adults too. As I am splitting wood for this up coming cool season I split the hardest pieces first. So I guess your post is relavent for all types of work

Edward, great tips for all of us to follow.  Take a break, that is essential to be able to rethink a problem.  Thanks for stating the obvious that we all tend to forget.

My inspiration for doing my homework was the look and the feel of my father's hand if I came home with a bad grade or worse negative comments on my behavior. None of which can be applied in today's society for fear of being arrested. All of this made me what I are today!
