New York State Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance has programs that are ready and willing to help.
We are usually all aware of the typical assistance for those in need such as foodstamps, Medicaid, and Social Security Disability Insurance.
New York State has a program for those who are working and finding it difficult to make ends meet. The WorkPays NY program offers benefits and supports for New Yorkers who are working and struggling in out difficult economic time. The assistance available includes but is not limited to tax credits, food and nutritional benefits, child care, free or low cost health care, and home energy assistance.
You can check your eligibility for many work support benefits quickly, easily and confidentially by going to www.mybenefits.ny.gov to see if you qualify or www.otda.state.ny.us for more information, or call 1-800-342-3009.
