LOUDOUN COUNTY VA VINEYARDS - A TOUR AND A TASTE TO REMEMBER.

LOUDOUN COUNTY IS WELL KNOWN FOR OUR EXCELLENT VINEYARDS.  Breaux Vineyards in Loudoun County, VA

TOURING HOMES FOR SALE IN LOUDOUN COUNTY VIRGINIA.  Touring homes in Western Loudoun County this week we are always fascinated by the number of vineyards throughout the area.  As you drive through the countryside of Loudoun County, many signs will direct you to vineyards.  This area offers rolling hills, farms, estates, horse farms and family homes, primarily on 3 acres or more.  Many have a spectacular view of the Blue Ridge Mountain Range.

VISITING VINEYARDS IS ALWAYS FUN.  Our tour of homes this week took us to the Breaux Vineyards, in Hillsboro (Purcellville), Virginia.  Located just off Route Harpers Ferry Road on Breaux Lane, the Vineyard is only about 35 minutes from Leesburg, 20 minutes from downtown Purcellville and minutes from Harpers Ferry.

Breaux Vineyards is also a winery.  For wine lovers, a visit to Breaux Vineyards will be an adventure.  Touring Vineyards is popular in Loudoun County which is home to over 25 popular vineyards throughout Loudoun County.  However, the Breaux Vineyard is also a Winery.

Wine tasting is a popular past time with visitors to Loudoun County.  Wines from the Breaux Vineyards include:

  • White Wines Dry:  Sauvignon Blanc, Viognier, Madelines Chardonnay, Syrah Rose'
  • White Wines Sweet:  Jen's Jambalaya, Chere Marie, Soleil
  • Red Wines:  Equation, Marquis De Lafayette, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Nebbiolo
  • Specials:  Sweet Evangeline, Barrel Select Chardonnay, Jolie Blond

We couldn't do justice to the description of this local vineyard.  Enjoy the photos of our visit.

NOT JUST A VINEYARD.  BREAUX IS A WINERY.

Touring vineyards - brings back memories of the week between school ending and graduation and the challenge of seeing how many NY wineries we could visit in a day.  Ah, but that's a story for another time ;-)

Hi Lenn - In recent years I hear more and more about the great Virginia vinyards and the wines they produce.  Being a Californian, I have enjoyed visiting many of our fine vinyards too.  Looks like you got an interesting tour!

Susan.  Of course California is famous for it's wines and wineries.  Virginia is growing in popularity.  Loudoun County leads VA for wineries.

Paul.  I get many requests for information about vinyards.  I thought I'd take a tour and connect with a few.  It was fun.  It was even better when I was given a tour through the wine making rooms.  Fascinating.

Gabe.  It's summer.  I'm having an adventure.  August is a slow real estate time here with so many on vacation.  I'm concentrating on local attractions of which I have familiarity to enhance my Internet presence.

Don.  Very enjoyable indeed.

My father is a big wine taster. When My mother was living they spent much time in Europe traveling and touring wineries. I sent him this post. P.S thanks for the advice and I followed it to the T.

Laura.  Thanks.  I was beginning to wonder if you read the comments.

I'm sure that a tour of wineries in Europe is an adventure.  Vineyards in Virginia go back 20-50 years at most.  Think about the history of European vineyards and wineries.

All the time i lived in VA and MD I never realized there were vineyards. Actually read Wine for Dummies and started touring vineyards a few years ago. I guess beer was more intriguing in my youth!

Gary.  One cannot sell real estate in rural areas of Virginia and not run into directional signs to vineyards.

Lenn the photos look great.  It is amazing how diverse Loudoun County is.   My son that lives in Washington DC went rafting in Loudoun Heights the other day, and he commented "Loudoun county is just so beautiful.  It is!

Jim.  I was at Loudoun Heights on Tuesday.  I was going to climb the hill onto the bluff above and get some photos of the river from the overlook.  I decided the hill was a bit too much since I'm just recovering from a broken toe.  There were about 20 "floaters" parked on the side of the road.

Mary.  I've got one planned for next week, weather permitting.

You've added a great personal touch. Just out of curiosity was this done for fun or to increase business or both?

Glad to see your having a great time.

Absolutely beautiful, Lenn. And fun to see you "in person" at the winery. Visiting wineris and enjoying what they have to offer is a true pleasure of wine. And here in CA we are certainly not lacking in optons.

Any.  It most definately does not.  It's been a blast.

Alan.  I always have fun.  I thought it would be interesting to consumers to get to know the agent that's going to sell them their next home.

Jeff.  You most certainly do not lack for wineries in CA.  Goodness, you're world famous.  Who knows?  Perhaps one day Virginia will be too.  I'll try to help.
