ActiveRain Multi-Authored Outside Blog Gets Social Marketing Recognition

ActiveRainGuide.com, an AR Outside Blog built by contributing members of ActiveRain was recognized today by http://socialmarketing.com.  Thank you to those members whose contributions and efforts made this possible.  For those of you looking for tips and how-to's about ActiveRain, this is a good place to visit on occasion.  Many of our AR members here have written some great tutorials and added them to this Outside Blog. Having multiple contributors can really build some great value in a Blog and is probably why this Blog was recognized today.

Thanks to Google Alerts for the notification.  I Hope you're using Google Alerts too.  :-)

If you're a member writing tutorials for others here in the rain, and would like to be added as a contributor/author to the ActiveRainGuide, please shoot me a quick email.  Send it to Brad@ActiveRain.com.  We are always looking for helpful posts to assist our community.  Having them in one location like this makes it easier to filter through and find what you need.  On top of that, the additional exposure to your articles could be mutually beneficial as well. You can always find a link to the ActiveRainGuide in the upper right corner of my Blog.  Thanks.  :-)

Congratulations.  I have looked through it as well, and it really has some great tips.  I have been on AR for about 2 years, and I still have a lot to learn.  Thanks Brad for all that AR does for us.

Brad, this is great news, any press is good press was the catch phase we all learned in marketing 101...but a good article (or recognition) is what we all strive for in the blogging world. Thanks for the tips and kudos to A/R. Steve Loynd

That's great that it's getting that kind of recognition.  I'm a trial and error person, so I haven't written any "how-to's" to get around the Rain.  But I've written about how to put money in your pocket from using the Rain!!

Though it wasn't techcrunch or mashable, it's a great start to even getting noticed. At least we're getting the word out that the AR member guide exists. :-)

Didn't even know about this!  It's excellent.  Everything I have bookmarked recently is in there and more. One stop shopping!  Thanks, Brad.

Brad:  I am so there, thanks for the invite!

There is something wrong with my communication of posting a blog to outside blogs and Bob is having the computer techie dudes look into it!!

I have to say this outside blog comes up strong in search engines when I am looking stuff up and I didn know it existed.  Like when I was trying to find the website analytics that go back 4 years you guys kept coming up but no articles matched what I needed!  Let me know if you ever find that site!

I wish I could drive down to AZ this week but am having a small surgical procedure on Thurs.  Still looking into it but I would probably get home too late.  Will you guys ever bring the show to Las Vegas?

Oh question, if I am posting members only it won't come up in the outside blog unless you are an AR member, correct?

Brad,

I'm parking to see an answer to Renee's question (#25). I clicked Members Only posts for my OB to keep them "private." Never considered OBs might work the same as our AR posts.

Renee - if you or another member creates a post for your OB, and it's a members only post, it won't show on the outside blog. They do have to be a member of AR to post publically to your OB. :-) thanks for accepting our invite! You rock!

Blog-N-Roll Brad...

Now I understand why you encouraged me to write my own tutorial about my discovery. I wrote it but I think it sucks and don't believe it to be worthy. Really :)

Congrats Brad and thanks for pointing us to the Rain Guide.  I'll bookmark that and refer to it for the future.

Jeremy - What are you doing here?  I thought you were hanging out on the beach getting a tan.  You trying to make us jealous or something?

8:59pm • #61

Thanks everyone, I'm glad I posted this now... not so much to boast about the recognition, but to thank the members whose efforts made the outside blog worthy of notice.  In doing so, it's obvious that many members didn't even know it existed and can now benefit from it's content as well. TLW - your tutorial does not suck, it is a "roaring" video break-through.  Thanks to you and Mike for that.  Nice work. :-)
