Well, I can't think of any place more romantic than The Settler's Inn in Hawley. While the borough of Hawley is technically Wayne County, it's still pretty close. They have a fabulous menu and a warm, Craftsman atmosphere (I'm particularly fond of Arts & Crafts/Craftsman style architecture and decor). Hawley is quaint and cute - lots of antique stores and great places to eat! A much less fancy, but still charming (and on a more simple scale) is the Pocono Pines Motor Inn on Lake Wallenpaupack.
If you're leaning more toward Milford in Pike County, you are in for a historical treat - Milford is probably the prettiest town in Northeastern PA. I took several pictures of Milford the other day after dropping a client off at the bus - I will be posting my Photo Tour of Milford soon. Anyway, in Milford you will find The Hattree Inn, The Cliff Park Inn & Golf Course, and the very elegant, upscale Hotel Fauchere.
Of course there are motels in the area too..but you said romantic. ;-)
Hi Janet, thank you so much for stopping by. I would be happy to let you know - but I need your email address to do it. If you click on one of the links to contact me, just send me an email and I'll save your address and let you know if I happen to see something available.
