My last photo guessing game (Speechless Sunday - Can You Find a Living Creature?) did not have a correct guess from the dozen or more entries that I have received prior to the reveal.

Here is another guessing game in time for Friday.

In this photo is an animal that is hidden somewhere in the sage brushes.

I will be posting a second photo after the first 10 comments/guesses.

Wow - that is really hard!  I even put my glasses on and I can't see it!

I think I see an animal bottom left, in between the bush and the tree. But it could be a log and my mind is playing tricks on me! I'll be waiting for the answer.

... it kinda looks like the head of a tortoise at 9:00... but not "crisp" enough to tell for sure.

Clue #1: No white horse hidding in this photo.   :-)

Tina,

He or she was on the run in this photo.   You can only spot a small portion of the body between brushes in this one.   Everyone will get a better chance to guess with the second photo.  :)

Michael,

Your mind is playing tricks on you.  No animal on the bottom left of this photo.  Attention should be towards the higher up sage brushes.  :)

Alan,

Not a tortoise.  He or she was faster than a tortoise.

Gerry - I'm starting to question if I need to wear glasses or not.

If it's moving, it's the blurry section I see, and it looks like two sets of ears... maybe a deer?

I see it really clearly now.  It looks like the "deer" is looking down.  The ear looks like a leaf on the tree branch.

Is the animal at the top of the picture parallel to the tree center of picture?

Gerry, how about adding to my story "Cutthroat Suzie", I think your humor will be a great asset to the story.

I believe I see a small bird on the left side of the approx 4 foot tall tree stump in the white and brown area just to the right of the middle of the photo.

Not sure if the bird is what you are looking for.  If it is not, then the saskwatch has come back to see if he can find the mysterious animal.

Michelle,

I am not working for the optometrists in America.   Lol

The second photo which I will post in the next 2 hours, should hopefully show you that you do not need glasses.

Donna,

Way to go with the set of two ears!   But, it is no deer, dear.  :)

Your second comment suggests that you are looking too high in the picture.

Dee,

I will have to check this "Cuthtroat Suzie".  I will make sure to visit the right post this weekend.

Not at the top of this picture.  I think I have an idea of where you are thinking there is an animal but no, not there.

Marc,

Not a birdie.  No sasquatch here either!  Never seen a sasquatch nor Saskatchewan!  :)

Clue #3: It is a 4-legged animal

Hi Gerry, I think Jester is hiding out there.

OK, I see we have 10 comments although I wished everyone entered a guess.  It makes it more fun to see what people see or imagine to see.  :)

Here is photo #2:

The animal has moved a few feet from its first location (in first photo) and is now in a different location but more visible.  Do you see it now?

Hidden Animal in the Sage Brushes - Red Lodge, Montana

If you do see it just say you do in a comment below and your reaction after seeing it (I expect you should most likely be smiling if you did).  Please don't give it away to all those that will come see this post after you and in the next 24 hours.  I never deleted any comment before on AR but if you give the answer away in a comment before I post the correct answer around this time tomorrow, I will delete it.

How can you tell me what it is without posting it in your comment, by sending me an email at Gerry@RedLodgeLand.com . I will reply by Yes or No, to let you know as soon as I see your email.

I will post the right answer around this time tomorrow (5:30PM Mountain Time, Saturday) and add in a comment at the end of this post , everyone's email content that I received.  Yes, I will congratulate all those who got it right within this post after the reveal!  :)

Mary,

That is an excellent guess.  Jester likes to hide and play around the sage bushes but he is not the one hidding in the two photos above.  I do have a photo to be posted in the near future where he will be the one hiding but don't say I told you so.  :)

Mary,

Isn't he or she pretty?  I bet you do see the animal but send me an email if you want to get recognized when I do the reveal tomorrow.  I don't think I will need to privide any more clues for people to find him/her.   :)

Hmmmm......Since this photo was probably taken in Montana (guessing here)......now, I feel blind as a bat so I am taking a shot in the dark here.....is it a mountain lion???? I really don't see anything and I waited to post this b/c in the first photo I thought it was a green snake in the tree...Needless to say, I was never very good with the where's Waldo puzzles.....LOL!!!!

Nancy,

Thanks for playing. We are looking for an animal in the sages brushes (as per the title of this post).  The only photos I have taken of  the mountain lions are the ones that reside at Beartooth Nature Center.  I will find the links and post them here in the next 24 hours for those interested.  SHould I add more clues?  I am starting to believe that I may have two photo posts/guessing games in a row on AR where no one gets the right answer.  I am hoping someone will email me the right answer soon!  LOL

Dee,

Please email me your guess (click on email link under my second photo).  I have received two emails but no correct answer yet.  You may be the first one to guess correctly if you do tell me your answer via email.  :)

I have at least two more but I will try to one (perhaps two) max per week.  I am sure I will find other photo opportunities to take photos that will qualify as guessing games here on AR.

Update:

I have received 6 emails so far from 3 different members and no one has gotten the correct answer.  You can enter as many guesses as you want via email (one guess per email please).  I thought it would be easy once people figured out where the animal was but I was wrong.   Despite knowing where the animal is in the photo, no one seems to identify it properly.  About 5 and a half hours left before the reveal!   Someone please give me the correct answer!  :)

Donna Harris is the first person to come up with the correct answer.  She got it right with her third guess.

I hope to get more right answers via email before the reveal.

Gerry - I think I have a non-sasquatch / non-saskwatch (who is a Saskatchewan relative of the sasquatch) idea.  I am e-mailing it to you.

Gerry, now that I know it is a kitty I had to come look.  I'm sure I would have guessed that it was a fox.

Marchel,

Everyone was thinking wild animal and a part brown part white cat behind a sage brush in the wild could surely be mistaken for a fox.  :)
