Gerry, You must have a huge population of moose in your area. I prefer Elk but your Moose pictures are growing on me =)
Make this a great week!

Paul,

We do not have a huge population of moose.  It may seem that way because I love to take many photos of them whenI see them (not too many opportunities between sightings). The photos are taken over a period of a year and half.   Have a great week as well!

Hi Gerry,  How nice to see them chilling out by the creek. - That's a very nice photo, they seem perfectly content.

Mary,

Thank you.  They seem content but the mom was checking to make sure my brother did not get any closer.   She was keeping a good watch on the tourists.  :)

Gerry - You don't seem to encounter male moose (the ones with antlers) very often.  Only one of your Moose Monday posts to date seems to be male.  It's nice to see some moose sitting down, relaxing and enjoying the creek.

My 2008 / 2009 moose quarters are been squeezed out by my 2010 Vancouver Olympics 2008 / 2009 quarters.  The Royal Canadian Mint likes to displace moose but doesn't seem to displace beavers, maple leafs, bluenoses, loonies or polar bears.

Marc,

The bull moose seems to be more difficlut to spot.  Two of the Monday Moose posts so far feature the bull moose (the same one).   I wonder why the Canadiant Mint likes to displace moose but not the other animals.

Hi Gerry ~ I'm really a diehard city person but your wildlife and scenery are very, very enticing.  Looks like heaven on earth.

Hi Gerry, Do I spot a little one peeping it's head out of the brush to left of the photo? Nice shot your brother captured!

Liz,

It is heaven on Earth!   :)   We ware lucky to be living in a country with so many nice places (big towns and small towns).  I used to live in the big cities but I found myself to enjoy more the small town feel and hospitality.  The city (Billings, population 100,000) is only an hour's drive away from Red Lodge and when I miss the big city atmosphere, I can travel. :)

Cynthia,

This one would be too easy for a photo guessing game.  It is a little one and is he not cute?   :)

My brother did get a few great shots of these two.   Check out the first Monday Moose post for another good one taken of these moose.   Thanks for dropping by and have a great day!

For some reason, I've never seen moose or elk at a Zoo, so it's a pleasure to see them over here running around -- or relaxing, anyway -- in your blog. We do have reindeer at the San Diego Zoo, but they are off exhibit right now while their playpen gets renovated.

Gerry, Very cool!  I don't get to see moose very often.  Not something you see in Texas!
