Your Website SUCKS!

By
Real Estate Broker/Owner with Park and Protect- Alberta Real Estate License Parking

Just came across this cool website design for the Dutch department store HEMA. Looks alot like Ikea to me, but what do I know, all European stores look the same to me, with their 'fluffledorfs' and 'gurfendorkels'.

Anyways, the guy who put together the website did an amazing job making it cool, unique, fun, and memorable. Something that we could all learn a little from.

Makes me really want to do something BETTER with my own boring website.

Here is the link, or click the big picture below and see how cool a website should be.

I've seen a lot of great websites, and a lot of bad ones. Another problem is that a site may be great but not get any traffic. That's a real bummer!

Sometimes "cool" websites can't be appreciated by those who have older computers, browsers or lack certain software, such as flash.  Remember, it starts with content.  You can pay to have increased traffic to your website, but if none of the traffic results in a closed transaction, or return clients, what's the point?

That is a great website.  I think they probably get a lot of business from it.

It certainly will draw people back and promote the website itself which can't be a bad thing.

I like the "nietmachine" in your picture above.  I need to take that on a listing appointment.

"Will you list my house for 25% higher than it should be?"  "Niet!"

"I don't want my neighbors to know I'm moving.  Can you list my house without putting a sign up?"  "Niet!"

"Since that offer is lower than I want to sell for, will you take a cut on your commission?"  "Niet, niet, niet!"

Thanks, Robert!

I always wonder if those foreign named products are nonsense words or if they actually mean something in another language.  Some of the things I have bought just seem like the names are completely made up.
