Las Vegas renters BEWARE.......

If you're looking for a rental in Las Vegas you really should contact a licensed Real Estate agent to assist you in finding a property to rent.  With so many people having their homes foreclosed on these days you never know for sure if the place you are moving into might be in the process of foreclosure.  There are no guarantees that even when you search the property on a number of different web sites to check if the property is in distress to tell.  You can check one day and it all looks ok and then the next time you're on a site checking the house is going into some kind of financial crisis.

If you have a Realtor help you find a rental it maybe somewhat of a less risk.  Your agent should be experienced on how to research the property and see what is happening with it.  RE/MAX Experience has a property management broker within the office.

It's highly likely that if the landlord of the property paid cash for the property you are probably safe to sign a lease agreement with them.

BEWARE  of people that advertise on some web sites that are allowed to post anything.. I'm not naming names but most people know what I'm talking about.  People, potential renters have been scammed into renting from people who don't have the authority to rent out the property and are taking peoples first month rent and deposits and running off with their money.  They act as though they have permission to rent it out, it's about ready to be foreclosed on, they know the property is vacant and they rent it out.  Becareful out there.

I have been hearing alot of this lately and find it very disturbing.  We here in Austin, have many foreclosures as well and I heard the other day of a scammer doing the same thing.  Of course, the other out there sites you are talking about some so called landlords/prop. mgmt companies are asking for deposits up front and then they are gone.   You provided some good information for people who may be totally unaware.
