In April of this year, we took a family vacation to Universal Studios Orlando.  We had won tickets to the park and successfully bid at a charity auction for a week's stay in a timeshare in Orlando.  After a couple of days doing the amusement park thing, we were bored.  It's just not our style.  So, we rented a convertible and drove down to the Florida Keys.  After the long drive, we parked the car at our hotel and saw this....it was definitely a good decision to bail on our "planned" vacation!

Tina, I loved driving down to Key West some years ago. And I agree with you, amusement parks are not our thing either.

We don't typically do amusement parks although you'd think we would with all our children.  It just isn't feasible financially.  Instead, we try to find places to go where there is something that everyone can enjoy.  Rent a cabin somewhere and my husband and the older boys can fish, I can have quiet time on the deck with a book and a cuppa, the little ones can run around and exhaust their energy.  Most importantly, we can find places like in your photo that are just beautiful to look at!  Thanks for sharing!
