Lake Norman Real Estate's Sept09WallpaperCalendarPreview

September is here and it already feels like fall on Lake Norman.  The humidity of the lazy days of summer has been replaced by invigoratingly fresh air and cooler temperatures.

Some of my favorite events in Mooresville and the greater Lake Norman area occur in September; from the Denver Days Fall Festival to the Amazing Maize Maze to the just too fun Wiener Races.  (Yes, I mean Dachshunds!).

However, for this month's photo I decide to peak ahead to October and the 36th annual Carolina Balloon Fest on October 23-25.  Many don't know that Statesville (and Lake Norman)  NC is considered one of THE places for hot air balloons and that this annual rally is one of the largest National Balloon Rally's!

To make this your desktop calendar, go to the round button at the top of Lake Norman Real Estate's home page  entitled: "Lake Norman Calendar".  Click on this button and up will come an image of my Lake Norman photo wallpaper calender for September 2009.  All you have to do is right click and select "set as background".  Enjoy!

While I have great fun taking pictures of Lake Norman, I would love to use one of your favorite photos depicting life here in Lake Norman!. If you'd like to submit a photo for a future calendar, please send it to...

Diane - we get a fair number of balloons our here during the year as well. I helped to launch the RE/MAX house balloon a number of years ago but have never been up in one. Love your idea for the calendar.

hi Diane, I love you pic/calendar for Sept. We have hot air balloon events here in the southern part of Montreal. When enough of them are up at once it looks like a floating circus. ;-)

Diane,
What a wonderful calendar!  And I did not know that the area was such a good area for hot air balloons, Wow!

We got the touch of Fall air too, it really is a nice change.

Diane, I didn't know they had a festival there of hot air balloons.  They look amazing!  I went up in one once and would do it again in a heartbeat, it was an amazing experience.

The colors of the balloons jump off the calendar with the blue sky as a back drop.

Hi Diane, Our temperatures ate still in the 100's where I live. ( hot and dry and needless to say, the fires season is now here early this year. I have a post that will appear tomorrow and it is about the fires in LA. Our office co-owned a RE/MAX balloon, but like Jeff, I have not been up in one. Good thing too. I might not want to come down as I could photograph the entire coast, LOL.

Hi Diane - one of these days I'll jump in one of those balloons and take in the vistas.  I can only imagine how beautiful lake Norman is from up there!

Jeff:  I helped with the RE/MAX balloon as well.  I would love to go up on one myself!

marti:  A floating circus, I like it.  Thank you for making it look so good!

Tom:  Yes, when I was at RE/MAX we used them a lot and it was great fun.

Cynthia:  Yes, Statesville has a huge history with Hot Air Balloons.  I'm also loving this fall weather.

Lou:  Thank you!

Kate:  Yes, except when it rains!

Carole:  Oh, I am so jealous.  I will get up in one some day!

Terry:  I love the fact that so many are so colorful!

William:  So true!  Can you imagine the photos you could get, wow!

Russell: I love marti's work and the monthly calendar is great for my blog!

Nevin:  Yes, it must be beautiful.  The challenge for this event has been the weather as if there is rain or wind they can't go up.  Hopefully this year will be successful!
