21 Comments on Break me off a piece of that SD card
Hey - I was told about these cards but couldn't find one. I guess Reno is a little slow to upgrade to new things at the BBuy level. In any case I'll wait for the 4Gig card for my Nikon coolpix. It's what I carry with me when I'm just hanging out.
Thanks for confirming that these cards are real.
Thanks for sharing, that is pretty handy. Have to say it is funny that 1 gig is small storage, which it is, when way less than that took up a whole floor of a building back in the day!
Robert - I agree that 1gig is pretty small... but the wife was using a 250mb card prior to this... so it's an improvement.
Vincent - I'm sure it'll get to you (or you could probably order them online)... I, too, am still using a 4gig card in my camera....
Dick & Dixie - I know... 1 gig is 400 times the memory of my first computer.
Technology just keeps getting better and better my friend. I too wold have had to try it to believe it, but that's just they way I am.
I know, JL. It did sound a little unbelievable. Of course, now that I've used it and have seen that it works... I wonder "why didn't someone think of this before?"
20/20 hindsight is a wonderful thing.
That truly is incredible.. I am glad you checked it out... I would have been a bit skeptical too!
Alfonse - Pretty cool. I have one of the old style ones that came with the "free" (I'm sure I paid through the nose for it) USB adapter that you slip the card in. Not too bad, but the day I lose the adapter, I'll probably curse the old design.
skeptical is the word, Joan
Matt - this truly does take the place of any USB adapter cord.
Well I'm off to the Sparks rib cook off, it's the first day and I need my share of ribs. I'll take my D200 and a 8Gig card for lots of pixs. If interested I'll share my findings and pixs with everyone.
BTW - the memory card is the old style.
BTW - the memory card is the old style.
what does that mean?
We have one of those for a new Canon camera and it works great. It's a little hard getting used to the first couple of times. Ain't technology great? It's great to be edjamacated!
I think Vincent means it doesn't snap in half - not willingly anyway.
OK, I'm completely sold!
That's just too cool.
I'm constantly amazed at how fast technology advances.
Once I've mastered something, the next thing is already on the market!
Lyn - thanks... now I get it... (I'm a little dense)
I know, Craig. I'm beginning to understand how my parents must have felt, as I was trying to teach them how to use the VCR.
or kit-kat bar.
well, if you're gonna go "mainstream" on me, Kate. Okay, Kit-kat bar.
Alan, that is really cool, I will have to get to Best Buy and check it out!!
it is really cool, Caren. Especially if you're like me, and prone to losing the cords.
WOW! What a totally cool device. I love new technology!! Thanks for sharing this new discovery!
you're entirely welcome, betina. How's the foot?
I was just thinking, one of my first computers had a 20mb hard drive, and they said "you'll never fill that" and now my cell phone has a few thousand % more capacity!
