Busy Moncton Construction Season Unfolding

In May, the City of Moncton issued 163 building permits valued at $17,243,000.
This represents the highest value of building permits ever issued for the month of May.
Building permits value year to date is up 39 per cent over 2006.
Although the residential sector is off slightly from last year, the other sectors have risen significantly.
In the past, the residential sector almost always recorded a strong increase in the year following a banner commercial and industrial construction year.
