Last weekend, Coldwell Banker co-sponsored Customer Appreciation Day.

We had the participation of most of the vendors and stores on western Central street, and had a lovey turnout. The new Restaurant Bonsai was handing out samples of their fare, (they're not even open yet, so it was a nice preview) their egg roll and chicken satay were delicious!
Casteel Coffee gave out coffee, cookies and muffins...First Bank and Trust, Hartigan's, Olde Neighborhood Grille and North Shore Eye Center were present with samples, coupons, snacks, and desserts and we even had the Evanston Fire Department show up with a Fire Truck... allowing people to have photos taken of themselves dressed up like a fireman. Fun!

Alan - Always a nice show of gratitude for the folks who entrust their needs into your hands. Looks like a good time, though your new pic may lead some to believe otherwise:)
What a great idea to hook up with other businesses. We recently had ours, a great success, but solo. I must say, I hope you are feeling more upbeat than your new profile picture projects!
always nice to give back to the community - jason.
Janna - I always feel better, when you comment on my post.
What a wonderful idea. This would certainly encourage consumers to shop the participating merchants.
I'm sure that was part of the idea too, Lenn. And it was much nicer than my lame photographs show.
Alan, glad to see you perked up. Your mood earlier was a little distressing. Looks like you're back to your old self!
Alan, this is a great idea to promote good will in the area!! That should have netted you some good clients!
mood? Janna - I din't have no mood!... whatchoo talkin' 'bout Chica!? Mood, I got nothin' but sunshine, lollipops and rainbows.
Caren - it wasn't a client fetching event... but shure brought some good-will.
That's a great idea but were you there for the food? There's something about Realtors and food? Today's pic is most handsome.
I were there for some of the food, Lyn. The Bonsai restaurant had great asian food... egg rolls, chicken satay, spicy noodles... yuuummm
Yep, back to your old self! Thanks for sunshine, lollipops and rainbows, what a hoot!
It's funny, Janna... how many people reacted, as you did, to my icon that seemed to be sad, (or aggravated)....
I was not... I was just using a new icon, from one of my old postings... buy many seemed to think I was in a bad mood. (I'm, of course, always in a cheerful mood, never allowing anything by happiness to darken my door.
