Recycling and...

Did you know that batteries have to go one place to be recycled, and those CFL lightbulbs have to go another. By the way, in Ontario, Home Depot accepts them, so when you go to Home Depot to buy new ones, give them the old ones.  Hmm... Why don't we get money for that like we do for cans.  Funny, they have mercury in them.  So does that mean we make a better lightbulb with worse product.  Interesting question.  What about.... Styrofoam?  It is great for packing, but it never dies so it has to go somewhere different to be disgarded.  I don't understand why it isn't melted down and used again.  When you drop hot fat or a cigarette on it, it does not burn, just melts, (unless of course it is really hot).  Perhaps there is some way we could build insulation with it?  Anyway, I am all for environmental protection, but are we doing enough?  I think not after yesterday's article, even though it was way too long.
