Old maps of St. Louis Missouri are available online from the U.S. Library of Congress. I don't know when or how I became fascinated by the old historical maps of St. Louis, Missouri. It may have been the World Book Encyclopedias or National Geographic. Or, it may have been the look and feel of the art work associated with the maps. However, I am definitely hooked and have even purchased a few while traveling - another addiction of sorts.
Since school is back in session, I thought I would share with you a free site from the U.S. Government that acts as a clearinghouse for educational resources available from Federal agencies - Free Resources for Educational Excellence. It includes a series of topics of interest to students at various educational level grouped by topic. Or, you can view topic by medium such as source documents, video, photographs, and animations.
