Is that at the airport? I'm thinking that my kids have no clue who that is--means I'm getting old. Ugh!

Still one of my favorite actors of all time and a hero to lots of us that grew up in the 50's and beyond.

Hi Lynda, What would we have done without this wonderful and talented actor. Love his movies and wish they would bring more back to TV.

That's so cool! You know; it's just a statue, but it's the little things in life that seem to make me the happiest =) So thanks for sharing this with us. You gave me a little happy moment. lol

Lynda - The Duke certainly has a presence in many ways. I am not a big western fan but certainly have to admire all that he brought to the screen.

Trey ~ He's still one of my favorites. On his 100th birthday a local movie channel did a 48 hour tribute of his movies, I loved it.

Lynda, He looks larger than life but he was larger than life. They just don't make them like the Duke!!

I saw Johnson's comment (#7). He must have been doing other things last week. I think every movie that John Wayne ever did was on television. It was kind of funny to see Dean Martin as a cowboy, as well as many of the other stars who were in those movies with Wayne.
