THAT LOOKS GREAT.  How god ever thought of putting flowers on prickly things like that.

Russ and I must have been typing at about the same time.  Funny that we came out saying something very similar.  It is a God inspiring picture.

Very pretty. You don't find cactus flowers on the beach in Hawaii. Was this in Costa Rica or nearby where you live?

Marchel & Russ - Great minds think alike!  I totally agree God has created some beautiful things to brighten our days!  Being from the South the cactus flower is not something I have ever seen and was very surprised to see it on the beach in Costa Rica!  Seems more like something you would see in or around the desert.

Hi Julie - We found it on the beach in Costa Rica (Pacific side) where we have a vacation home.  I don't think it grows here naturally.....I think the people here have just planted them here and they do well with the sandy soil and hot weather.  I am from Alabama and don't see many cactus there.

What an interesting flower!  I've never seen any cactus flower quite like that.  Perhaps the different climate and soil in Costa Rica made it grow like that.
