Elaine, That is funny but also very sad.  I have started to try and buy things made in the USA but it is hard to find.

Marchel, I was very upset to see the China label given that our tax dollars support the USPS and so many people are out of work.

Something like this can only happen in America. I have started to buy only made in America when I can find it.

Elaine - That is very sad. It's just like the flag that veterans sell that are also made in China. I wonder when the government is going to figure out something is wrong here.

There is absolutely no excuse for that. I know there are a bunch of people in Ohio (and neighboring Indiana) that would be happy to provide all of the tape we need and more. I'd love to see someone like Glenn Beck get ahold of this!

American flags should NEVER be made in China. Several years ago, I ordered flags to place in my neighborhood for the 4th. I ordered them from a place that only sold American-made flags.

John, I've been trying to spread the word. I tweeted on it and sent a special tweet to a local TV reporter. Since this is the USPS, I doubt that it's just an Ohio thing. You can help by spreading the word as well.

Wozzie....I had no clue. Heck we owe China so much, not tellin' what will happen.

Jeff & Missy: Since we are required to continue to support (prop up) the USPS, it just seems that they should also be required to support U.S. businesses.

I don't know how many other items are made in China that they sell in their lobbies, as I noticed this afterward. I wonder how the Purchasing Agent for this product can justify the purchase.

Elaine--Interesting shot. The MN legislature made it against the law to sell US flage that are not made in the US in MN stores. It shouldn't take legislation for companies to do what seems a no-brainer...supporting American companies.

Konnie: I don't support Walmart for much that same reason, however, it is difficult to avoid buying China-made items. Companies trying to compete with Walmart have been forced to also buy the lower priced goods.

Teri, that's interesting about the MN legislation. You're right ... seems like a no-brainer especially for the flags.

There's a price to buying "cheap" when the cost is lost U.S. manufacturing jobs.
