It's sad when we heard about people trying to cheat others...it doesn't matter if it is in real estate or the lottery or the store...If you play the California State Lotto make sure that you sign the back of your ticket when you get it!!

Signing the back of the ticket IMMEDIATELY is the surest and safest thing to do in case something happens...like you lose it or a clerk trys to cheat you out of it like what happened to a Roseville man recently.

He was told that his ticket was a $4 winner and given the 4 bucks only to later find out that it was worth over $555K!

Quite a difference there....now the clerk has some explaining to do on this one!

Hi Richard - Sounds like good advice, but do the lottery people then ask for ID before they pay - so they can tell if the person who signed is the one turning in the ticket?
