Be Represented in Today's Market. Think About What They Offer!

Something I always say is that it must be right for you. Don't accept anything less! If someone is trying to apply pressure or talk you into something you don't want to do then they probably don't have your best interests at heart.

In today's market now more than ever it's important to be represented by an unbiased party that will look after your best interests. With so many choices out there I'd suggest meeting with a Realtor® and listening to what they have to say. There are so many options today and they include agents that sacrifice quality for quantity, discounted brokerages and independent ‘we buy homes' type of services that are not always looking after your best interests. They are also not always providing you with the best services possible.

They provide you with Real Estate services but are they exceptional? Do they return calls promptly? Listen, stop and really listen to what they are saying to you. Do they listen to you? Are they showing you all the properties that are out there or just their own listings or company listings? Do they show you the comparables, pull property profile reports, and analyze the property history, subdivision history over the past few years and not just the past few months. Do they market your properties through many avenues to bring you the best price possible? Do they make you feel comfortable? Are they really there for you? Do they have integrity?

These are just a few of the questions to keep in mind as you are looking for representation. Why even go with representation? Too much can and does happen to not have an unbiased party there managing the entire process, consulting with you and resolving the issues on your behalf. Saving you time, money and making sure it's done right goes a long way. Finding you the best property and revealing all details that help you make a good decision is too important to pass on.

If you are a purchasing a house usually there are no fees for real estate representation. If you have a home to sell there are fees but how much depends on the services provided and who you want to represent your best interests. I believe that integrity counts for everything! If it comes down to spending a few thousand dollars more by being represented by an outstanding Realtor® that will provide exceptional services and have my best interests as their #1 goal then you bet I'll take the outstanding service and I'll gladly pay for the results that come with this service. I've learned from past mistakes over small and big projects and it always ended up costing more than I expected in the end to not have gone with the best service possible, despite a slightly higher cost.

Of course I hope to win your business and it will be through integrity, knowledge and the services I provide. Remember it's important if your purchasing a home that your Realtor® show you all the properties not just their company or own listings. Protecting your best interests includes listening to your needs, really listening, providing guidance, having knowledge and getting things done for you. Remember sometimes it's all the little things that count too!
