As an on-site agent sitting alone at model homes, I face more risks than most Real Estate professionals. I meet a variety of different people each day, some of whom may not have the best intentions in mind. I recently attended the S.A.F.E. "Realtor Safety Seminar" at the Florida Association of Realtor's Annual conference. I learned that staying safe, as well as
successful takes more than common sense.
Andrew Wooten teaches the strategies that both men and women can easily use to minimize our risks. He takes a humorous approach while educating the principals of personal safety. The interactive demonstration allowed me to actually try to escape from this 6'7, 280 lb. black-belt's assault. Not an easy task. However, after learning a few simple techniques I was able to escape unharmed. Mr. Wooten's strategies combined with an increased awareness of today's crimes has taught me the steps to take to insure my personal safety while continuing a successful career in real estate selling homes in St. Augustine.
