Hi everyone,

I'm brand new to active rain and look forward to reading about different people and their experiences in the industry. I was curious, what books would you say have positively influenced you the most in your career as well as your life? I personally love 'The 7 habits of highly effective people' - by Stephen Covey and 'How to Win Friends & Influence People' by Dale Carnegie.

Brandon,

Without a doubt - Rich Dad, Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki. Changed the way I think about many things. If it is not in your personal library I would highly recommend it.

Brandon and Anthea - classics listed.  I have been reading a few books lately by Seth Godin (Purple Cow, All Marketers are Liars, etc.) and his work is excellent.  It evolves around customer service, marketing and technology.  Good stuff.

Richest man in Babylon! This book is small, but its impact is huuuuge!!!!! I read it while I was in College and forever changed the way I deal with money. I started buying properties and invest in stocks even before I graduated and the early start served me very well!

Then Rich Dad Poor Dad hit while I was buying nice home for myself and riding the high wave of being a Corporate hot shot...  The book made me to realize the importance of being my own boss...

These two are life changing books!!! You gotta read them

I've heard many GREAT things about The Millionaire Agent and just ordered it on Monday.  Hopefully I will have it shortly and then I can rave about it also.  :)

Thank you very much for the quick and informative responses. I'm excited to check out The Millionaire Real Estate Agent and I've also heard great things before about The Richest Man in Babylon.

I listened to Rich Dad / Poor Dad on CD because I figured I'd might as well learn something while I'm driving from point A to point B. Does anyone else listen to Audiobooks?
