Who says physics doesn't apply to real estate? We can all do a little rocket science of our own.
There's a lesson to be learned about goal setting from the accuracy in which an unmanned rocket reaches it's intended goal.
A rocket moving at incredibly high speeds toward and intended goal does not get there necessarily by by staying on a preplanned path or getting back on that path if it falls off course.
Instead the person(s) guiding the rocket constantly evaluate "What speed is the rocket traveling and what is the best way to reach the desired target, given present circumstances?"
The answers to these questions are used to evaluate and identify an ever changing path toward the desired goal. Throughout the flight corrective thrusters are used to put the rocket on its new path toward the intended goal.
The process is repeated over and over again until the desired goal is reached.
How does this apply to goal setting? Suppose, like the rocket, you set out to reach an intended goal. Most times you're going to find yourself off course the majority of the time. What's important is to constantly evaluate "Where you're at? How fast are you moving? And what is currently the best path to get there?"
The only constant is your goal, the path to get there frequently changes and requires you to continually make adjustments along the way.
What's wrong with rocket science, I used to be one! That is I was a scientist, not a rocket...
