Hubert, Swansboro, Jacksonville NC - Labor Day Weekend

What are your plans for this long Labor Day weekend in Jacksonville, Swansboro, Hubert NC? You know we are very fortunate, we have so many wonderful entertainment options especially this time of year.

You don't have to spend a lot of money to enjoy the Labor Day weekend in Onslow County NC, most of these destinations are free or very affordable.

Camp LeJeune families often ask me what kind of entertainment is there is Jacksonville NC?

Here are some the answer I give them

Take the boat out or head to one of the public beach and enjoy the beautiful Eastern North Carolina weather

Pack a lunch and take the kids to the Park for some free, relaxing and fun family time

Pull out the camper and/or tents, load up the family and go Camping

Celebrate the official end of summer at the beach

Everyone enjoys visiting a zoo--yes, there is a zoo in Jacksonville NC

Start up the car and make a short drive to neighboring Carteret County for an educational and fun day

Fort Macon State Park

I would love to be able to celebrate the end of summer at the beach. Instead I will just have to make do with your lovely photo and daydreaming.

Cynthia, You have some wonderful events going on and ALL of them sound fun. That's the worst part of this weekend, trying to decide......I hope you have a wonderful weekend.

I will be working all weekend with the plan to slow down just a little bit around Monday.

Cynthia, It looks like fun!! I know where I would be if I was there, THE BEACH!! I love North Carolina beaches!!

We have a little craft show going on here at our Festival Grounds and I may pry myself away from the computer long enough to go for a stroll through the show... unless the rain persists!

Hi Cynthia: I remember going to the beach with my older brother when he was stationed at Camp LeJune during boot camp. The picture in your post brings back memories.
