A 4th of July Quandry! What to do??

As you know the 4th of July is on a Wednesday this year. It is an annual tradition, friends and family come up to our house on West Rush Lake here in Minnesota. The problem, is it is a Wednesday! Do we invite people up the weekend before, or the weekend after? Our weekend consists of lots of camp fires, swimming in the lake, fishing, and just fun!

What are other peoples plans for the 4th?

I vote for Saturday to Saturday!!

Cynthia! I LOVE the way you think!!! That is what I voted for, but, Tracy my Wife, said that a week with my friends at our house is a little too much!

Cory and Tracy- I'd vote for the weekend before. That way, yours is sort of the anticipated "grand finale"- have fun!

Cory and Tracy--You mean you aren't going to join the thousands of people at the annual 4th of July parade in Forest Lake? That's where we will be...we have no choice. The kids are in the parade with their school :)

Hey Teri! You know.we were going to go........Ahhh! Who am I kidding! Sit and relax at the lake, or go sit at a hot parade! I KNOW where I will be!!!

My Question exactly, who's to know? Been trying to figure it out I haven't had a good answer yet. I think maybe the weekend before, that way you can have a vacation earlier rather than later!!! What do you think?

My anniversary is the 3rd and my son's birthday is the 5th (8 year difference - Cory), so if I don't spend it with the family, I may die in my sleep. - LOL

Well what a hard decision. Heck, just make it both weekends. Enjoy!

I always go to the huge fireworks show in the Dallas area but since we are getting drowned with the rain, I think it will be cancelled. So, I guess I'll be inside relaxing.
