Edna Hills Jr High Wrestling Match 8-27-09
My son is home schooled through The California Virtual Academy, but he is allowed to participate in Wrestling with Edna Hills Jr High in Brentwood, Ca.
I had not thought much of wrestling till my son started in the 6th grade. It is a great sport and has built his self confidence up. As you will see he is on the upper end of the weight limit. He did not do well his first year, but is now a good Wrestler and wants to Wrestle in High School.
The Coach at Edna Hills is Greg Chappel who is one of the top high school coaches in the state if not the nation. He coaches the Jr. High kids to prepare them for high school.
I am really learning about the sport as I watch the kids and listen to the coaches so do not count me an expert; but I will be doing updates on Edna Hills as the season progresses and also the Delta Wrestling Club that starts up in October after the Jr High season so subscribe below if you want updated videos and information.
Forgive some of the video as I had a five year old I was monitoring while videoing.
Edna Hills Has two types of Singlets; both have Blue, one has black and one set has Yellow. The darker set has an EH on the back. The first tournament went a little tough for us. I also seemed to have a knack for taping the losses.
I do not know all the kids names yet, but this is one of them with a win.

Louis here is a good friend of my sons and is a new wrestler. He won his first match ever, unfortunately I taped his second one.
Edna Hills has two girls on the team, both very good. Nicole was 1-1 at this match and of course I taped the wrong one.
Since I recorded all three of my son Nelson's matches I will show you the win. He lost another match and lost an exhibition against a kid that out weighed him by 75 pounds.
