What's happening in Coastal Georgia in September?

 

On Saturday, September 12 at 1 p.m., visit Hofwyl-Broadfield Plantation Historic Site located off Highway 17 north of Brunswick and learn ore about about history and the Gullah-Geechee people in a lecture by Jeanne Cyrique.  Event free to the public.  For more information on this event, call 912-264-7333.


On Saturday, September 12 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m, people 50 and over can take this refresher course in an AARP Drive Safety Program at the College of Coastal Georgialocated at 3700 Altama Avenue in Brunswick, Georgia.  This course may quality attendees for a discount on their auto insurance by learning about defensive driving, traffic laws, road rules and more. $12.00 is the cost of the workbook to go with workshopo is $12.00 to AARP members and $14 to non-members.
