LABOR DAY. THE START OF REAL ESTATE'S SECOND SEASON...

Spring and early summer are active times for real estate.

As the weather warms after a long winter, the months of March through July are always very busy. People hoping to find their dream home...

But then August comes. August is hot. A time for vacations. Swimming pools. Back to school. August has come and gone...

Monday is Labor Day. The unofficial end of summer. The start of real estate's second season...

On Labor Day, we have one last barbecue. A chance to celebrate another happy summer...

But as Labor Day passes, the temperatures cool. Leaves change. A beautiful time of year...

Sellers come out. My most active season for new listings...

Buyers are out, too. Such a pretty time of year. The last chance to be in that new home before the holidays...

So Labor Day is upon us. Enjoy the time spent with friends and family...

But real estate's second season is here...

I love the fall myself, football starts again, lower utility bills, not to mention more activity in the housing markets, hope it is a good fall for everyone---Bart

So true; last year I was sweating bullets come September; but all of a sudden, my phone started ringing and ended my year over $10M; and I expect the same thing will happen this fall!

This is a very nice way to view the real estate cycle and with the $8,000 Tax Credit winding down this part of the cycle will be interesting.

Ken, I am with you. This quarter we have the finale of the 8k first time home buyer credit. I see an uptick in business due to this point. We needed it.

My experience has been the same, with a lull in August and an uptick in the fall. Let's hope this year stays true to form!

I couldn't have said it better myself. In fact, I was writing a post last night exactly like this but had to stop to cook dinner and then it got too late and the mood had left me. Our second season actually begins in the beginning of September but it's great to have any time of year. Nicely done!

Even in Charleston, SC the weather has cooled down. It's much more comfortable looking at houses.

We had a busy weekend with people inquiring about listings. Your photos are amazing!

we expereience physical seasons too...living here full time we 'feel' the seasons by differences in air and humidity and positioning of the sun. It's also the beginning of our winter real estate season. Entrepreneurs, retirees, second home and first time home buyers enjoy our exceptional quality of life. Located on the Gulf of Mexico across the Skyway Bridge from St. Petersburg and Tampa.

2009 is fine and 2010 is win-win. Consider us as your real estate resource for Bradenton~Sarasota Florida.

I am very busy, but it is still hard to make money. I have a lot of entry level buyers that are having trouble finding homes.

I think this year will be an anomaly. Normal cycles are out the window. With the tax credit and what appears to be an economic recovery underway pent up demand will be the driver for the rest of the year.

Once the kids get settled in school, things do have a little bump here. But it's short, because the frigid weather is quick on the heels of September.

The Summer went really fast, as they always do. In the past Crested Butte, Colorado, has had two seasons - Summer which is July & August, and ski season, Christmas to the end of March. I hope this year will be an anomaly and extend into September!

I've got all kinds of people calling me! Just went under contract w/one property, the buyer of that property will be listing their home shortly; have another customer looking to buy, they're looking to list their home as well.....I'm loving my life right now! :)
