Work is rewarding...!!!If you're anything like me, Labor Day weekend signals the time to get your garage cleaned out...

Thoughts of winter snow, ice cold temperatures, frost on the windshield, cold seats, and guilt at having a garage and not being able to park a car in it, occupy the mind...!!!

And so, we went about the task of cleaning out our garage this weekend...!!!

I must make a confession...we have two over-sized 2 car garages and only 3 vehicles, and couldn't park all of our cars in a garage...part of the problem being boxes still unpacked from our home move around 7 years ago...

We sorted through many of those boxes and re-boxed them, arranged all the buried fishing equipment in top priority 'immediate access order', found some long lost important items missing for years, threw out trash bags of worthless 'stuff', and swept and vacuumed dust and dirt away...

By bed time last night, there were three vehicles, each parked in their own 'nests', and a family full of satisfaction for a JOB WELL DONE...!!!

Happy Labor Day...!!!

Are you saying that one is suppose to park in the garage- I always thought that was just a story grandparents told their listeners about days long gone by.  I am of the generation that is glad if we can even 'walk through' the garage.  Ok, time to take your example and go clean something.  be good  cw

Ah, Fran, this just might inspire me get my never-parked-in 2-car garage emptied out.  This is going to take College Hunks Hauling Junk!  It's beyond anything I could take on!

Fran

I am guilty of having that full garage as well; it's just so hard getting at that project when all those boxes are siting there so peacefully.

Fran, I don't like to admit it, but one 2 car garage house during the wintertime it took me three months to clean it out. I hope to never be that kind of pack rat again. I think I found three or four weedeaters LOL. Happy Labor Day!!

Good for you for getting out there and just doing it!!  Jim mowed our jungle of a yard today, and that was quite enough for one day!

Good for you Fran! It's a wonderful feeling when a big job is finally tackled and seen through to completion and clearing out of unused 'stuff' is often one of the best feelings of all.....
