Peanut Butter And Jelly

I don't know about everyone else, but I love Peanut Butter and Jelly sandwiches. It's just that everything goes so well together. It's sweet, sticky and filling. I tend to have food on the brain, maybe watching too many cooking shows but guilty I am.

Thinking of Peanut Butter and Jelly brought to mind all the great professionals sandwiched here together on AR. Realtors, Inspectors, Appraisers, Stagers, Mortgage folks. All the great fillings for a Super Real Estate Sandwich.

cheezy analogy you say....OK.... maybe another blog.

We all have so much to offer each other professionally and in that offering all our respective clients come out on the winning end I think. The knowledge shared here, the experiences and diversified opinions all serve our customers in the best way. Even our disagreements and differing opinions are valuable as they spark ideas on how to serve our clients better.

Peanut Butter and Jelly is simple, straight forward and hard to get wrong.

I read so many great blogs on this forum and marvel at the thought that goes into them. The smiles, laughs and comfort that derive from these blogs is just like the simple comfort of a Peanut Butter and Jelly sandwich.

So, as I am constantly dieting, I freely admit the one thing I will never, ever give up, are my Peanut Butter and Jelly sandwiches, both literal and figurative!

Have you ever tried a grilled PBJ? Use butter and grill in pan, delicious!!

Grilled P B & J ????? Hmmm, never heard of it. Have to try it. I know that right now the L. A. County Fair is happening in Pomona, CA, and they have everything under the sun and moon deep fried. You can really load up those arteries in no time. lol

This is the most sensible blog post that I've read in ions! My personal peanut butter accompaniment is Marshmallow Fluff®. I hate to differ with your very eloquent approach. But, The FlufferNutter^TM is by far a superior alternative. To dealve a bit deeper- I'm not sure if you addressed the brand of peanut butter that makes the best sandwich... my personal choice is PeterPan^®, I can't get my finger on the reason; Peter is the best... I've tried them all... Reeses^®, a good second choice, Jif^® , oh, the many pretenders....

Thanks again for this fabulous contribution. Sorry for getting a bit carried away here- but this is a subject near and dear to me-as-well. ~ Your post just drove me nutty.

I just knew that this post would get featured ☺

Nobody is going to listen to me and most people think I'm crazy when I say my favorite is peanut butter and tomato sandwiches. Peanut butter, mayonnaise, sliced tomato's and lettuce on your favorite bread. Dont' forget the salt and pepper. I told you!

I wouldn't touch a PB&J with a 10 foot pole. However, the analogy surely works for ActiveRain.

Just like a great Marinara Sauce, a wonderful vegetable stew or a special fruit salad, ActiveRain is a fabulous blend of many different flavors all blending into a powerful marketing force.

Ana- PB & J a tried and true, CLASSIC staple. (although, I've never heard of it grilled but would try it but for the fact that I wouldn't have the patience to wait for it to be grilled.)

Hi Greg, that's really gourmet, have you been watching the Food Network! I might try it depending on the brand of mayo, I am a Best Foods (Hellmans) fan.

Try adding walnuts to your standard Pbj, even if you're using crunchy style, the walnuts work well.

I eat Peanut Butter and Jelly sandwichs for breakfast about 5 days a week. I know thats strange.

I'm a Skippy Super Chunk kind of girl, with good old fashioned Concord Grape Jelly. Yum! Happy Labor Day!

I grew up with PB&J. Gotta be chunky - Strawberry Jam, on white bread (yeah, I know), AND...with potato chips in the middle. YUM!

Oh...and the 10 foot pole wouldn't work...gotta get up close and personal ;-)

This all sounds pretty yummy-- guess its almost dinner time.

Peanut Butter and Jelly is a great sandwich because it takes 2 seconds to make. It is good when you have no time to cook or stop off for a bite in-between clients. It can also stay in the car (if necessary) and not be refrigerated. So, it's a win-win situation for those of us who are always running around. (And, to think I thought real estate was a prestigious business before I did it!)

This is so funny! I had to check out a post entitled "Peanut Butter and Jelly" and I'm so glad I did. I can't wait to try one grilled!

Had a peanut butter and jelly sandwich today and then it was the topic of conversation at dinner. We had people just moving here from Luxenburg, others from the Netherlands via China and another from Fayettville AR via Geneva. Such an interesting group of peole with fabulous worldwide experiences. They did not share my love for Peanut butter and jelly...in fact, wrinkled up their noses.

Well if I ever get to China, I'll be taking my peanut butter to survive...I'm sure they are trying to survive some of our interesting food combinations as well as another culture!

Remember I am a Brit. Peanut Buteer and Jelly, the thought alone turns my stomach! Sorry just could not eat it. Active Rain and all it encompasses, well I just lap it up.

Cool metaphor. I just like plain peanut butter -- hold the jelly -- but I tried one of those deep fried Elvis sandwiches down at the Jersey shore -- fried peanut butter and bananas. Once was enough for me!

I love your comparison between AR and pb&j. When I got sick as a little girl, my mother would make me Skippy peanut butter sandwiches on buttered toast with orange marmalade and bacon. No pb&j sandwhich I've made since then can compare to Mom's, but now I have to try grilling one thanks to everyones comments! As for the potato chips or lettuce and mayo - no thanks!

Hi Ana ~ It is too funny to find a feature about PB & J since I was tempted to write a post about graham crackers today after discovering - while making peanut butter grahams - that they had shrunk the size.

I introduced my family to jelly after having a PB & J at a friend's house when I was five. Up until then we had only peanut butter. Peanut butter was such a family favorite that my uncle gave my parents - or more specifically my dad - a huge vat of it for a wedding present.

Hi Ana, personally, I love peanut butter sandwiches with raspberry jelly (with or without seeds). My grandmother always used to try to get me to try her favorite which was peanut butter and bananas. I never had enough courage to try it, though. Isn't it wonderful that a few lines about a sandwich ellicited so many opinions, and isn't that the wonderful thing about ActiveRain!

My husband loves a peanut butter and jelly sandwich ~ sometimes with a banana ~ I'll have to tell him about grill them.

Peanut butter & jelly is still one of my favorites. Great analogy to. There are many types of jelly to go with your peanut butter just like there are many types of real estate professionals when we work together it is very satisfying for all. The combination is sweet and sticky. Sticking together and helping one another succeed will lead to some sweet and savory relationships as well as some sweet deals making for happy customers.

Ana, what you said was so cute: "Stagers gotta be the Jelly, we make everything sweeter!" So true. :)

I love creamy peanut butter with apricot pineapple jam on potato bread.

If I'm having bananas with peanut butter, it has to be Bonne Maman strawberry jam, though.

Peanut butter and sliced cheese. I know I know sounds bizarre. Back during a little hazing in a fraternity I remember the lack of sleep the last week, counting the number of rice krispees in a box and then a big wind coming up and starting over and only eating peanut butter sandwiches. Alone it is dry and kind of took a break from the stuff after that.

I can tolerate peanut butter but I don't like PBJs (nothing personal - I prefer a slice of ham and tomato any day).

Ana, with peanut butter and jelly, like many things combined, some things just go well together!!

I agree, Ana...AR is akin to a comfort food like PB&J. Generally, just a nice place to sit back and relax with a mixture of people. I love PB&J's. In fact, I got engaged as a result of them...that's another story.

It is a nice feeling to know that I'm not as odd as I thought I was for liking them (or at least I'm not alone ;) I like mine to be made with butter (the real stuff), PB (Skippy), and jelly (strawberry preserves-yum!).

As to JIF-their ads have it 100% correct "It's the peanuttiest!" I prefer not to have a PJ sandwich, though. And any sandwich made by someone else always tastes better (especially Mom's) because of the extra love that's put in them-that's what I have always thought. May your day be filled with PB&J!

I've found that I can't keep the weight on unless I eat one PB&J a day - LOL.

PB&J - Doritos (original nacho cheese flavor) and milk are the only lunch that I would ever eat in the 3rd grade...it was good then and it's good now! LOL And you are correct, it's great to have all the different branches of real estate living together under the roof of Active Rain!

Hello Ana-I don't think there is too many people that don't like peanut butter and jelly. There are a few here but I am a big fan. Congrats on the feature. :-)

Are any of you old enough to remember the peanut butter machine. I can't remember who made it but it was a toy wherein you would put in your peanuts, turn the crank and out would come peanut butter. It would take sometime to get enough to make a sandwich but it would always be with...you guessed it...jelly. There I go musing again!

Fun post Ana -- OK, my "only" peanut butter is Crunchy Unsalted Organic - and the "j" can be strawberry or raspberry jam (not jelly) on whole grain bread. Then I'm in heaven!

Hi Ana. When I was a young girl I remember seeing peanut butter for the first time and telling my grandmother, "Dirty! Dirty!" Your post reminded me of a sweet memory. Happy belated Labor Day to you too :)

If times get rough, you can survive a long time on a few spoonfuls of peanut butter a day. I always have several jars around.

Nothing better than a nice PB&J cut up in little pieces and watching my 1 year old boy eat it and laugh at the sticky peanut butter.

Okay I didnt see this if it was here then sorry but peanut butter...banana and Honey! yeah that is the ticket! grilled or plain!

WOW! Tons of variations with just a few ingredients. Whether it's grilled, fried, has bananas, jelly (of any kind), marshmallow fluff, peanut butter, of any variety, seems to be a staple that has been the foundation of a sandwich for many years. The same goes with the ananlogy: a few long time staples-realtors, inspectors, appraisers, & mortgage folks (sorry if I forgot anyone) all teaming up with some newer variations like stagers make for a great twist on an old classic. Loved the post!
