     One of the very best things about Columbus Ga and Fort Benning is location.  And we all know that in real estate it is all about location, location, location.  Well in this case it may also hold true for entertainment.    
     A short drive of three to three and a half hours can get you as far as Panama City Beach Florida.  Although it is has gotten a bit commercialized in the past 15 years, it can still boast  one of the best beaches in the world. 
     An hour north will get you to Atlanta and all that it has to offer.  Major League Sports, Museums, Entertainment Parks and a fantastic night life are some of the offerings. 
     Another couple of hours beyond Atlanta you will find Chattanooga Tennessee.  Among other things you will find a world class hang gliding school.  For the inexperienced Tandem flights are available.  For the more down to earth types you can also enjoy Ruby Falls or Rock City and River Boat Rides.

Klaus, I agree, I used to be stationed in FT Benning for , Infantry, Airborne and Ranger Schools during the breaks it was great to be able to go fast somewhere that was not that far away. BTW how is the market in your neck of the woods?

Thanks for taking a look Endre.  We just returned from Panama City and had a geat time.  Real Estate sales here are down, but business is good.  Home values have dropped a tiny bit.  Several military clients have rented their homes, and moved on to new assignments.  All are expecting to return to Ft. Benning.  The Armor School from Ft Knox is relocating to Ft Benning and we are expeccting some 25 thousand new neigbors in the next two years.
