They've Gone Plaid!Oh, no… thanks to Mr. Bloom, I’ve gone Bronze. (But, I guess it is better than going Plaid.)

Several of the members in this group have already shared how they have achieved this milestone of reaching 50k points (which now seems petty compared to those in the 100-200k range). So, I figured… why not jump on the band wagon and do the same.

I learned about Active Rain when I went to go update my company’s website. I saw this strange banner under Marc Blasi’s name on our Contact Us page. Since he and I are the only ones with access, I knew it had to be him. Before he could tell me about, I already clicked the banner to see what he was advertising on our site. (Marc, aren’t you sad that you did not invite me? You could have an extra 7+k points now and more to come.)

Anyways, I started right away in creating a profile, uploading a picture, and commenting. It became a game with Marc and I to see who get in the lead. For a while, we went back and forth in points. It wasn’t until they introduced the point rewards for adding communities that Marc shot well ahead in points. (Sneaky…) I guess being a Realtor® and having access to certain databases gives you an edge on knowing all the little communities. Plus, it helps to be in a big city where they exist, and not in the middle of BFE.

Well, after that, I knew it would be impossible to catch him, so I took a little hiatus from the blogging scene. Writers block also helped with that, too. There is only so much that it seems you can write that has not already been covered here in AR. But, now that I am on vacation, I have overcome the writer’s block and am back to posting on mortgages, local content, and whatever tickles my fancy.
Through all this blogging, I have developed many cyber-relationships with Realtors®, mortgage professionals, title agents, appraisers, and many more. I have talked to some on the phone and even met a few in person. And I can’t wait for the AR Orlando Birthday Bash to meet even more.

Thank goodness the 100k Group milestone is not that far off… I can write this again and get a few more points. LOL.

To all you Beginners out there… just keep at it and you will be at the Bronze milestone in no time at all.

Will do... You can also make the group private to keep those who do not belong out.

Nah...I do not want to go that far and once you go private it is hard to get it public again..I was part of the ongoing experiment with the private when it started and also I do not want to alienate people that way..just want a place for people to be part of the group for all their accomplishments..I would rather they not even post much so we can keep it in order. I want a peaceful group without this deleting and making people upset. I am sure you understand. Thanks!

Enjoying the Peaceful Bronze Group, but lusting after the Silver ... ;o)

Neal,

I know it can be difficult to keep groups on track and those that violate the guidelines in check.  I wish you luck on keeping this group in order.

Sarah,

Forget the Bronze, Silver, and Gold... I am going for Platinum.  I guess I better create that group now. (For those over 500k) It will be an empty group for awhile I think, though. :)

Let's see... you have almost a 20k point lead.  Um, no...  How about I see you there?  Unless, you want to give me the chance to catch up?

Congratulations on the Bronze!!  Do you get a medal or a bronzed umbrella?

Ed,

They are going to bronze my rain boots.  (Kind of like parent's bronzing their baby's first pair of shoes)... LOL.

Thanks for stopping by

Jason-

Nice to see that you actually made it!

Forget the 'Platinum' idea - I like the 'Plaid' thing much better.

Don't worry, when I get to Silver, I'll call ya.

Heh, heh......

I will be close on your tail (within 5-6k) to the Silver.  But, we got a long way to go to catch up to "The Chris."  :)

Sally,

Yes, it does... Silver is already right around the corner.

Another comment, and another step towards Silver! I am still in pursuit of Bronze.
