With all of the technological advances today, it's a wonder that there are still agents who get in their car and drive to meet their clients for every signature and initial.

Now I do not intend to downplay the level of customer service you provide by driving to your clients home, office or local coffee shop for a meet and greet or signing session.  Real estate is a relationship business and so meeting and getting to know you client's is essential.  HOWEVER, once you make that initial contact and have that meet and greet or listing presentation over coffee, it's time to get down to business.

With so many families having two working spouses, you need to consider what these constant meetings are like for them.  It's not that they don't want to see you, I'm sure they like you and feel you are competent to service their real estate needs or you would not have gotten the job.

What I'm saying is, there's a better way.....

That's where DocuSign comes in.  DocuSign Electronic Signature Service will help you improve your level of customer service, save you time (no more driving around town for signatures) and you can feel good knowing your documents are secure.

FACT: DocuSign users LOVE DocuSign!

So how can DocuSign do all of this and I still keep my desired level of customer service?

By using the technology of the internet and common tools such as email, DocuSign can save you hours of valuable time each week.  With DocuSign you no longer need to get in your car and drive to see your client's every time you need a signature or initial from them.  Or spend hours sending documents by fax only for them to end up unreadable.  With DocuSign you simply notify your clients they have documents to sign or initial via today's modern conveniences of email and internet.

FACT: 80% of US households have a computer and 92% of those have internet.  And with internet comes email accounts, probably several if they are anything like me!

DocuSign is the leader in electronic signature.  Using DocuSign's patented technology, you can be confident in the knowledge that your documents are safely held on our secure servers.  And DocuSign is 100% compatible with ESIGN law requirements for a valid digital signature so you can feel good knowing your documents are safe, accessible and meet federal acceptance guidelines.

FACT:  ESIGN law - Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce Act - the law that provides for electronic signatures to have the same validity as a wet (ink) signature was signed into law by President Clinton in 2000!  That is 9 years ago!

So not only does DocuSign save you time, is secure and 100% compatible with ESIGN law, your customers will love the convenience.  In today's global society, it is easy to find an internet connection and almost everybody has email.  Your clients can sign from the comfort of their home, the convenience of their office or even while traveling or on vacation.  There's no software to install - all anyone needs is access to a web-browser.  With DocuSign Electronic Signature Service, you will have the flexibility and convenience of the internet to close your transactions giving you back priceless hours.

So try DocuSign today, with our 30-day money back guarantee, you have nothing to lose.  Try it out and if you don't like it, just cancel within 30 days and we'll refund your money.  It's that easy!

But that's not all, activate your DocuSign subscription today and you can save 20% on an Annual Prepaid Subscription over the monthly rate.

Next time remember to DocuSign it!

I love eletronic signatures.  I use something called Suredocs, but it doesn't always work too well - and it only works with Internet Explorer.  Might your product work with other browsers?

Docusign is the best!  I have been using it for more than 3 years.  However, I do have clients every now and then who are not tech savvy at all!  So for them I have to print out docs and meet in person!  Thank goodness that scenario is rare.  Also, I have found that some Lenders want a "Wet Signature" for Short Sales or REO's.  I have also run across a few Agents still living in the Stone Ages and had no clue about e-signatures! Go figure!

My clients are impressed with this easy-sign technology.  It's quick, simple, and efficient.  Plus the documents are much easier to read than faxed documents.

We do a lot of scanning and efax, but that still requires our clients to have access to fax or a scanner.

I need to take some times this week to really look into this product- especially if it has good online storage capabilities.

This sounds like a great way to save time, unless you have a client who doesn't have a computer and/or email.  I recently had one client that wanted everything in hard copy and since she lived about an hour drive from me, I had to send everything snail mail.

I am DocuSign's biggest fan!!!  It has saved me hours upon hours, $$ in gas, ink and paper, and it has saved a whole forrest!  My clients think I'm the greatest thing since sliced bread, because they don't have to meet up w/ me just for a signature.....or fax/scan/hunt down Kinko's.

For any of the sceptics, it is a no-brainer to do.....my clients - even the tech challenges ones - figure it out in a snap.  I am so thankful for this ingenius invention!!!

(And no, this is not a paid advertisement! :)  Just a happy, happy customer!)

MAC Users - Yes DocuSign works with a MAC and with Safari.  You can use either the web version or you can download the print driver for MAC and print to DocuSign.  This was an upgrade that took place in late spring/early summer so if you looked into DocuSign before then, you should check it out again.  FYI, DocuSign's Founder, works on MAC so, it had to be compatible!

Hi Guys, I just wanted to poke my head into the conversation - thanks so much for sparking such a great discussion, Suzanne!

Mac users: We also have blog posts / stories about other customers signing on a Mac. Suzanne's right - Tom Gonser, the VP of Product Strategy and Founder of DocuSign is a Mac user, as are some of our engineers.

For those of us who love our Apple products, we also have a new iPhone app developed by an iPhone dev partner, called DocuSign ESIGN Remote coming out very, very shortly in the app store.

Please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions!

Rita, have you taken a look at DocuSign's forums? It's an online community where users and DocuSigners help each other out and create a knowledge base about using and implementing DocuSign. You might find an answer there...

We also have how-to videos online, hosted on YouTube as well.

Worst comes to worst, DocuSign live chat support is great - you can copy / paste error messages so you can easily share your exact error message.

(Hope that was helpful, not spammy!)

How do we solve the "wet signature" problem? I know you have a person to email too if you find a company the will not take an electronic signatuer, but what happens after that? How can one encourage the seller to take an "other than conventions" signature?

OBTW, I have misplaced that email address, can you post it here?

8:37am • #30

I have been using Docusign for years and I tell it really impresses consumers and service providers when I explain that I can pretty much do everything online/via email if necessary (try not to remove that personal fac-to-face when needed).  I have a lot of information on Docusign on my blog if anyone would like more info!

I love Docusign as well! Not only is it easy and quick, but it is much neater and cleaner than faxing copies back and forth. After a few faxes, the type on the forms almost becomes very muddy. I wish more Realtors would use Docusign.

Everybody in our office that uses DocuSign and raves about it. There have been a couple of banks that have absolutely required a wet signature but it has only happened a couple of time.

9:38am • #43

Eventually we will go completely paperless and electronic documents will be the way to go. I have found that some banks do request a "wet" signature, like Diane says above.

Mac users, Docusign is web based software that should work across platforms.

Those who's users aren't getting emails: Tell them to check their spam box or to add the Docusign email addy to their safe senders list.

I find this software to be vey intuitive and extremely convenient. Even a caveman can do it.

I'm glad Corinne asked about trouble with boards accepting the electronic signatures, because I brought up the possiblity to my CEO at Seattle REbar Camp and he said the MLS might not be accepting the signatures.  However, I have met an agent here in Seattle who does all his business that way and I think it might be a valuable piece in our Virtual Office.  Do you know about how many agents in Seattle are using this at this time?

11:49am • #45

I use Docusign and love it. For those who have wondered about legal issues, there is a federal electronic signature act that makes electronic signatures as legal as hand written. I use docusign on my listings, leases, and supporting documents and it really saves a bunch of time. I still get real signatures on sale contracts.

Docusign works with PDF's, so if you can pdf you should be able to Docusign.

Hi Kathy - you can check out our sending and signing video on the DocuSign support page.  It will walk you through the process of setting up a document to send out for signing and also what your clients experience will be when they get the document to sign. How to choose/adopt a signature is in the section where the video covers signing documents.  I think you will find it very informational.

Suzanne, Is there a mobile solution for this? If so, what phones are compatible?  I would think this could be a huge solution for many REALTORS, LO's and the client.   I believe this can dramatically improve the image of the agents that represent their clients as well as empower us to meet the challenges of the "WANT IT AND RIGHT NOW" Age.  In fact I also posted an AR blog on how to use mobile technology to improve your professional image and service.  Check it out: http://bit.ly/o3Dgi

Thanks Susan for your post.  I will also direct some people from my post to yours.  I think we are talking the same language.

I am a firm believer in Techology, and use as much as posible, but I had a unique situation recently.  The 2nd lein holder on a short sale listing of mine, demanded a "manual Signature" on a purchase contract.  Needless to say this caused a delay, and some frustration to an out of town buyer.

DocuSign is the BEST invention EVER!!! I have also been using it for a few years. The efficiency in my business has increased 10-fold, and my clients ("most" of my clients) also love it. I have had 2 lenders who actually didn't accept them, I think it depends on the branch. Only once did a funder hold up funding until she had wet signatures (luckily both clients were in town and could go in!). I would say if you're siging contracts, verify with the lender if they will accept the eSigs prior to the last week of escrow! :)

I am planning on making this my next investment - I think it is amazing, and saves so much time. So many people are tech savy - but you might have one that still needs to fax, or scan. And some people are not comfortable with that.

6:08pm • #63

You would think that something this simple would be so appreciated adn effective but not everyone want sto electronically sign their documents.  I know because I used to drive around to deliver packages and get thos signatures which took about 1 hour to do.  I can only think the client appreciated having a face to match the voice.

Elecgronically signed documents is a huge time saver and is done very simply with a return of the complete file for processing.  It will become the most important part of the mortgage loan process.
