I took this photo from the Mosier Twin Tunnel Trail that connects Hood River to Mosier along the Historic Columbia Gorge Hwy. A favorite place for many to walk or ride bikes.

Beautiful picture....is this along the Lewis and Clark trail to Columbia? I am planning a "road" trip from St. Louis to Oregon to follow the route as much as possible. I'm hope I get to see this point first hand.

Edward & Celia, Gynell, Karen, Cynthia, Liz- Thank you all for you comments. Glad you enjoyed the photo. This is located on a restored portion of the Historic Columbia River Hwy between Hood River and Mosier. It is not open to motorized vehicles-only pedestrian and bicycle traffic. Mosier Twin Tunnel Trail

I don't think this trail is part of Lewis & Clarks actual trail route, however, they did pass through what is now Hood River.

Hello Amy, it's about time we head that way for a visit to get our Apple Fix.  We'll need to bring our bikes as well as we've not yet tried this trail -- looks Awesome!

Alexander- I just read this in our local paper "Due to hazardous conditions caused by the Microwave Fire, the Twin Tunnels section of the Historic Columbia River Highway will be closed until further notice." If you do plan on coming to ride the trail you might want to check and make sure it has reopened.
