Donna,

What a tranquil photo!  We desert rats sure miss the open water.

Mike:  You make me want to come to Arizona but those scorpions have me a bit scared LOL!

Bruce: Nothing like the lake in the early morning, so tranquil is the water with the soothing sounds of nature and somewhere in the distance, the aroma of bacon cooking.  Life is good.

Now this is a place I'd love to be on a Wednesday morning.

Peggy:  Come anytime, we'll pull up a chair and sit on the dock and have no cares whatsoever!

Donna, this reminds of a place I went as a child.  I remember canoing in the tranquil waters and being able to see clear to the bottom.

Donna, I don't know of one instance of someone being stung by a scorpion here.  Now, the tarantualas that are as big as your hand...  are harmless.  LOL

Hi Mike: Thanks for the update about scorpions out there.  Now, I haven't even thought about tarantualas!!!  Here's a website I found that supports what you said in your comment.  I'm glad to know because I was afraid it was like the North Georgia Mountains. I've battled scorpions ever since I moved up here 8 years ago but with the help of Orkin, I am winning the battle.  I don't think ours compare to yours out west though.  I have actually been stung by one three times and my dog too.  Now you see why I have a fear. Maybe I would be better off in Arizona. LOL

June: I'm glad the picture evoked a nice childhood memory for you.  I was fortunate enough to spend most of my childhood on Lake Burton so I just love the water.

Donna, I would name that picture "Serenity"  --  It's how I felt when I look at it, it's just beautiful.
