11 Comments on Wednesday Photos . . . Oncoming Storm in the Carolina Mountains
I love dark clouds off in the distance. Just so cool.
Ed, love the lake shots. We spend a lot of time on a little man made lake, Lake Raymond Gary. We love it. I've shot some storm shots, it's just hard to get the raindrops to show up. Don't you just love being on the water!!
Ed the photos are great! I love water shots of lakes. I used to spend summers on a lake in Canada, and it is so neat.
Ed, the photos of the lake are beautiful. I love the movie Dirty Dancing, and surprised it was made in NC amd not NY.
Hi Ed, this look like a beautiful area your had a chance to enjoy, wet weather and all!
Gorgeous photos, Ed. I have a client who is a Realtor® in that area. It is absolutely beautiful there. You can see why the Dirty Dancing film crew chose it. Thank you for sharing. As a movie and nature buff, I love it.
Hi Ed: Hmmm man made lake - homes starting at 600K - Hmmm - I've got to get me a chunk of land and a big drill!
:)
Ed,
Good trivia from that movie; I enjoyed it and the movie.
Terry, in keeping with the movie trivia, the film was shot in late October. the water was frigid, which was why there were no closeups of the lift scenes in the lake. Also, every morning the trees were sprayed green to make it look like mid summer.
Ed
I have never been to that part of the east coast, although I grew up in New England. The shots are lovely!
Ed,
Those photos sure make us see the beauty of your area.. Reading the clouds on the water.. is a very good idea.. keeps you out of the Cosmic Cow Pie!
