Mama Liz Becomes a AR Ambassador

Mama Liz was thrilled when she logged on to Active Rain this morning and saw the Ambassador badge --- what a pleasant surprise.
 

Officially, I joined AR in September 2008, but didn't really catch the excitement until January 2009 when Rebecca Levinson did a presentation which I was fortunate enough to attend.  She really got me excited about social networking and AR in particular.

  

I believe that it is safe to say that I have become addicted to AR -- have thoroughly enjoyed learning from everyone on Active Rain --- there is so much knowledge here.

When the opportunity came up to serve as an Ambassador, I quickly volunteered my services.  I knew that I probably would not qualify because on the application, it asked for us to list the posts that had been on 1st page of Google ---- guess what?   I didn't have any ---- but I was over 100,000 points and had written many posts to help other Active Rainers who were newer.

Guess what?   I did not make it the first time.  But on the 2nd time around, I had improved and actually had gotten several posts on 1st or 2nd page --I was so pleased to get the invitation. 

I attended the first webinar that was offered about SEO -- thought it was awesome.  I immediately put into place the suggestions of Steven Graham of AR --- today, I did a google search for my tag words and guess what?  4 of the 6 posts that I wrote after the webinar for SEO are on the 1st page of google.  The other 2 were just posted yesterday --- in addition, I'm taking Katerina Gasset's
SEO webinar course that just begun ---

See why I am addicted to AR ----- as I have said Active Rain has taught me sooooooooo much.

Now, I feel that I am truly ready to serve as an Ambassador for Active Rain and I appreciate the confidence that AR has shown in me.
