Do you earn your commissions from QUALITY or QUANTITY?

I don't know about everyone else, but for most of my real estate career, it's been quantity over quality so to speak. I've been fortunate to earn six figures in Idaho of all places multiple years. But it was not due to selling huge tracts of land, ranches or mansions. It's been helping every family I can regardless of price range.

So it's been pretty rare to close anything over $300,000 in sales price. I practiced mainly in Canyon County which for the most part is 2 communities of about 90,000 and 40,000, plus the occaisional venture over to Boise where the prices are a bit higher. At least they were before the slump!

So is everyone working harder for less, or do you have time to give more attention to detail and making up for fewer sides with better service and staying about the same on income? I'm curious as to what's going on all over the country.
