When Dinner Stinks
This summer while at the Cape May Zoo, my kids and I came across an animal out of a cage. I presume this guy hangs around and keeps the pests away.
The best part here was the completely fearless attitude they had when this snake started moving directly towards them. My son had no second thoughts and wanted to pet it, and his little sister decided it was a good idea to get out of her wagon and walk up to it. NO FEAR!!
Reflecting on this, it shows how these little ones have no fear, and how we learn fear; We learn call reluctance. We learn bad organization. We learn procrastination. We learn it by allowing it to take place and allowing it to become a habit. If not combatted, it can become who we are.
New Perspective
Once we recognize an issue within ourself, we can then decide to remedy it. Most find it best to pick each habit off one-by-one. We don't learn bad habits instantly. And they don't get fixed instantly. Making grandiose plans to remedy everything in our lives all at once can quickly become a nightmare. Remember KISS - Keep It Simple Stupid.
- Pick one and only one thing you want changed. BE CLEAR on what is you want to change/accomplish. You have to be able to calculate when you obtain your goal.
- Create the simplest plan possible to bring you to your goal. (Think KISS)
- Stick to it until it is complete. Don't move on prematurely and don't give up.
One great benefit of the KISS method is that you gain momentum more quickly from overcoming an obstacle, and it propels you on to new things. Ok, enough reading - now go pick one thing and get on your way! If you want extra accountability, put it in the comments below and I'll follow up with you to make sure you are still focused.

Steve, That's great advice but I don't think it would work for me with the snake.
