Bye Bye Booties.  I hate to see your go Bye Bye Booties

Little play on words here.  It came to mind after watching this weeks episode of Mad Men.   Love that shoe.

I've always put a basket of Blue Booties (shoe condoms) for those rainy/snowy days.  We hate to see the hard word that we've done go bad with wet shoes.

Now with all the Asian families looking for properties in our areas I thought I would try something a little different.    They like to take their shoes off at the door and slip into slippers.

The little booties don't last long and the price is about $1 a pair.  These slippers were $1.99 and should last longer.

oh yes, there is a pair of blue booties for those who can't try something new

You will not find me wearing anything that someone else's feet were in.  Plantar warts are but one thing you can pick up - extremely painful to treat and get rid of.

I will take my shoes off, or will gladly wear booties - but slippers that someone else wore? No thanks!  It doesn't mean I "can't try something new" - it just means I don't want to share foot germs with strangers!

I've gone to homes for a consultation and at the door are silk slippers and the owners say "Please, put on a pair" I never do-just grosses me out. Let me know if your pretty yellow slippers are a hit Virginia-they sure are nicer than those ughly blue shoe condoms.

Karen,  that's why i have booties and slippers in the basket.

Cathy, what do you do?   Walk in your socks? or carry your blue booties for such occasions?

I was in a house for a consulation a week ago and the lady wanted me to take my shoes off because whe just washed the floors.  I didn't have the blue booties with me AND they won't fit over my big tennis shoes.  Kept my shoes on and told her that they were clean and it wasn't raining outside.  Said my feet hurt too much to walk around bare foot.

I always have a pair of socks with me-I keep them in my car at all times, like my tool box, water, toilet paper...you know the essentials of a stager.  :)

Virgina, You know, I love the basket idea. I generally leave the booties on the floor, but with a nice wicker basket and maybe place a sign on the basket it could make a nicer statement that is often missed...Park your shoes at the door or put on the booties. Thanks!

Hi Virginia, I think Cathy is talking about the RESA conference. It's in Vegas in January.  I really want to go. I'm attending the IRIS Conference in two weeks in Denver, CO.  Maybe I'll see you there if you're attending.

I don't have plans for a convention in the near future.    All my travel seems to be for handling my uncle estate in Florida.

Kate, I purchasd the slippers in IKEA
