In my effort to be the one-woman advocate for a serious change or moratorium of the HVCC, I thought I would share with you an article I just read about this nemesis of the real estate industry. It is an excellent article pointing out the history, intent and resulting difficulties with the new guidelines. If you have been confused about the HVCC, just click here to read all about it...then write your congress person!
Great job! Keep it up and hopefully others will follow up. HVCC is a disaster- nothing like govt sticking their nose in where it does not belong! OMG- obama wants his nose in health care too!
Oh...I do not think you are alone but it is a frustrating situation! I hope you are doing well, I am just now back to commenting and posting after an incredibly buy summer!
Paula, Lisa Udy started a whole group dedicated to this: I Hate HVCC. Maybe you two could start something here!
HI John!
It wouldn't be so bad if the government understood real estate, but the fact is, they don't have a clue about our day to day business!
Hi Russell!
No...I am certainly not alone, but I seem to be having a blogging theme lately! Glad to see you back!
Hi Pat!
New photo? I like it! I will check out Lisa's group! Thanks!
Paula, our industry is being screwed up daily by HVCC and so many other things that frustrate us! Don't get me started on short sales!! The stresses that we encounter daily cannot be understood by our public we are trying to serve!
Paula - Amazingly enough when HVCC ws implemented I got on the hone to bend the ear of my congressman and what I got was: The consumer groups are the ones pushing this HVCC. It all starts with the downfall and dismantling of ACORN, ATTY General Cuomo and Fannie Freddie. Fannie Freddie did not want to release documents implicating them to wrong doing so the deal was if they went along with HVCC (Cuomo's idea) then those records would not be subpoena and their bad dealings would be left to rest. HVCC has nothing to do with consumer protection but rather Fannie and Freddie trying to cover their asses.
The only way to combat this HVCC is to make sure that NAR and NAMBhave enough money from donations to combat this stupidity. A PAC with no money doesn't get heard!
